They both won Oscars the same year. Jessica won best supporting actress for Tootsie and Meryl won lead actress for Sophie's Choice.

You know what I love. The fact that an actress of her age gets to smell the roses in 2013 on the level she gets to. She deserves all the attention because when it comes to acting she is a beast!

I´m amazed about the perfect way she portrait any character. For me, she is a genius. She have the exquisit talent to make you believe every single word, every single look from her eyes. Very talented lady.
Since The Meryl Machine was offered every good film role on a silver platter, even roles she wasn't right for, we can be happy Jessica Lange received finally the recognition she deserves. How I wish she'd have played the mother in "August, Osage County" in the film.
Although it seems like Jessica and others like Glenn Close are in the shadows of Meryl Jessica's has received recognition for her work. She's got 2 Academy Awards, 5 Golden Globes, 3 Emmys, 1 Tony . Meryl doesn't even have a Tony.
I feel Jessica Lange has got a terrific versatility as an actor. She is beyond outstanding. Love her, always!!

It's a testament to her character and talent, but mostly her true genuineness when you can look at all of the people who have gone through the industry with her as an inspiration and have worked with her, and they just beam because they know that she is one of the last real, classy ladies in Hollywood.
